Problem: Need for Complementary Global Video Resources
The Manuals needed complementary resources for the text versions of the Professional, Consumer, and Veterinary Editions of The Manuals in order to reach its goal of making the best current medical information accessible by health care professionals and patients on every continent.
Solution: Collaborative Development of Videos on Textbook Topics
The Manuals, in partnership with the Diffusion Studios team, identified topic areas from The Manuals textbooks that did not have a corresponding video on the Osmosis.org platform. The teams then worked together to develop this new video content, supported by the text in the appropriate edition of The Manuals.
Result: Medical Videos Enhance Global Healthcare Education
Diffusion Studios has co-developed 18 videos with The Manuals and has granted The Manuals a license to distribute many more pre-existing Osmosis videos. All content developed with and/or licensed to The Manuals can be viewed using the links in their video libraries as well as through embedded videos within the related chapters of the text. By making these resources available, The Manuals fulfills at least part of its social responsibility promise to protect, preserve, and share the best current medical information to enable more informed decisions, enhance relationships between patients and professionals, and improve health care outcomes around the world.
