Med-IQ Partners with Diffusion Studios

Med-IQ Partner Case Study

Problem: Need for Engaging, In-Depth Clinician Education

Many of the subjects Med-IQ works with in its medical education programs require more than just a base level of understanding on the molecular mechanisms of action, in the pathophysiology of disease, and the agents that are developed to treat them. Clinician education needs to be more engaging than words and static images alone in order to ensure the learning experience is effective.

Solution: Collaborative Creation of Clear Whiteboard Animation Videos

Diffusion Studios worked collaboratively with Med-IQ on educational strategies used to develop whiteboard animation videos, embedded within various Med-IQ learning modules. The videos distill complex science into short, creative, and approachable animations that relay highly detailed medical information accurately and as realistically as possible. This work is in a way that is very clean and not overly complicated or kitschy.

Result: Visual Learning Tools Enhance Retention for Busy Clinicians

The finished videos, with concise voice-over to describe what is happening, provide a great visual of complex topics such as disease processes and how various treatments work, which can be more engaging and “sticky” than plain text or a static image. Providing this visual reinforcement of the module text allows for durable learning, which is so important for busy clinicians who have to keep up with a rapidly growing evidence base.

When asked why Med-IQ chose to work with Diffusion Studios, they stated:

“The quality and accuracy of the videos are topnotch and the [Diffusion Studios] team is very collaborative and creative. It is surprising how much you can show in a 2-3 minute video!”
